Ahhh - the beach. The sweet soft sand and beautiful hues of blue and green that the crystal clear water transforms into as the water spreads out for miles. Had we known back in September when we took our family vacation to Destin that we would get to come back to this sweet slice of paradise in only 8 short months, it would not have been so heartbreaking to leave.
We are so fortunate to have been gifted with this trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama by Dan's parents. And watching 3 young beach babes take in the magnificence of the ocean and never tire from chasing the rise and fall of the tide, is just a that . . . a perfect gift that we'll treasure forever.
We enjoyed a full-week on the quiet beaches of Gulf Shores. Our trip was blessed with excellent weather and came to an end just as the Memorial Day traffic rolled in and schools in the south released their kids for summer break. It was timed perfectly.
Of course, no one can take a vacation with me without expecting the presence of my camera (and expect that nearly every emotion and significant event will be well-documented:). And while I am in process of editing my (2,000 +) photos from vacation, I leave you with the photos from a family beach session that we captured on May 24, 2012 in Orange Beach, Alabama as a gift to Bob and Darlene.
